Well Mercury is in Retrograde. Back up all the tech, double the check that email before you press send, don’t make any big change unless you have everything in order, and breathe. I know that was a lot thrown at you, but remember that this is also the time to reflect and review what needs to be left in 2020. What can you do for you right now to feel like you’re not repeating life lessons?
So, welcome back to Brujeria Business. Let’s jump right in!
Collective Card: The Tower
Woah. Perfect card for this period of Retrograde. Don’t let it scare you that things fall apart during this time. In order for the new to have the space to grow, we need to give it the space. Unfortunately, many of us are tired of so much change happening, but this is what is needed. See why things just aren’t sticking. Like a game of Jenga, sometimes the foundation wasn’t stable to begin with. Now rebuild.
Aquarius: Knight of Cups (reversed)
The Water Bearer, Air
January 20th – February 18th
We are officially in Aqua season, and the feels are real. Make sure you aren’t making decisions based on emotions not grounded in fact. Is there a way you channel those energies into your work? Don’t bottle them up. They will spill over eventually and that will be worse. Don’t take on the emotions of others either. Focus on the tasks at hand.
Pisces: Six of Wands (reversed)
The Fishes, Water
February 19th – March 20th
I love the confidence and the fact you are taking pride in your work, but are you coming off a bit too cocky? Pisces, you can be the boss b*tch you are, but make sure you aren’t stepping on toes that are in your corner too. On the other hand, maybe there is some part of you that does need to celebrate yourself. Are you not giving yourself enough credit? Find the balance in the celebration!
Aries: The Emperor (reversed)
The Ram, Fire
March 21st – April 19th
Oh shit. This is THE Aries card of the deck. The “take no bullshit, let’s get shit done, and I am queen” vibe is real with this card. But it is reversed, so are you just letting things slide? Are you becoming a bit too strict that you aren’t giving yourself the flexibility to adapt and now things are suffering? Look into the energy of this card and what makes you the fiery Aries you are and apply that to being amazing. But don’t get burned/burnt out.
Taurus: Four of Cups
The Bull, Earth
April 20th – May 20th
I know I keep saying Mercury blah blah Retrograde, but this card is telling you to sit down and evaluate everything. What is not serving you? Let it go. What can you revisit that is keeping you from seeing the bigger picture? Take it slow. Get back to what grounds you in your mind and body during this period. You may be surprised how much you can accomplish with stillness.
Gemini: Ace of Swords
The Twins, Air
May 21st – June 20th
Breakthrough! Everything is becoming a bit more clear for you on where to go. Fun fact I heard through the grapevine is that Gemini energy is actually good for this Retrograde period. So apply your creativity to your work and see it blossom. Make sure that you have all the facts first, okay? Doesn’t hurt.
Cancer: Queen of Pentacles
The Crab, Water
June 21st – July 22nd
Oh you softie! You like knowing you’re taken care of and your work life is no different. Take this time to make sure your finances are in order. Are your needs being satisfied at work? What can you do to make sure you are getting what you need? Time to make a practical plan, double check it, and then put it to work.
Leo: Judgement (reversed)
The Lion, Fire
July 23rd – August 22nd
Woah woah woah. Leo are you being a bit too hard on yourself? Did you screw up and now are acting like your own judge, jury, and executioner? Ease up. Everyone messes up, but take it as a lesson to be learned. You have the confidence of the strongest animal (lion), but are so quick to become a little kitty when you are mean to yourself. Please don’t. Everything is just a lesson. Learn it.
Virgo: Seven of Wands (reversed)
The Virgin, Earth
August 23rd – September 22nd
Pick your battles Virgo. Not everything has to be settled. Not everyone deserves your energy. I know you want to fix it all, but somethings don’t need fixing, or maybe don’t want your help. Is it going to drain you? Be strong in who you are and what you believe is the best course for you. Let others learn their lessons on their own. You are not being paid to babysit anyone (unless you are a babysitter).
Libra: Page of Swords
The Scales, Air
September 23rd – October 22nd
Time to step up to the plate! Don’t run away from a challenge. Remember when we were kids, we had no fear? We just did the work because we were having fun? That’s the kind of energy this card is asking you to bring into your job. Instead of thinking that you may not do it right, reprogram your thinking to “What can I learn from this?”
Scorpio: Two of Cups
The Scorpion, Water
October 23rd – November 21st
Is there someone at work you can collaborate with? This card is all about genuine connections. Having a second pair of ears and eyes on a project can be beneficial. Accept the help and who knows? They may surprise you! Plus work is far more fun when we actually get along with our coworkers.
Sagittarius: Seven of Swords (reversed)
The Archer, Fire
November 22nd – December 21st
Rethink everything you think to be true Sagittarius. What are you not being honest about? Do you need help with anything? There are people who have your back. Find them. You don’t have to do all the work alone, and the work may suffer if you do. Try a different approach this time around and don’t think you have to do it alone.
Capricorn: Five of Cups
The Goat, Earth
December 22nd – January 19th
And so your season ends, and with that comes a mourning period. This past week we had a Full Moon and with every Full Moon, there is a closing of chapters. 2020 is gone. January always kind of feels like it takes a long time because we want things to change immediately, but sometimes 2020 spills out into that month if we don’t make sure we close out any tasks we had to in the last year. Enough. Wrap up any lingering projects.
