Krizia Vargas-García is a Queer Puerto Rican poet, artist, and fierce advocate for the independence of their island and other U.S. colonies. They began their undergraduate studies in Psychology at the Universidad de Puerto Rico; Recinto de Rio Piedras, and graduated with their Bachelor’s from Virginia Commonwealth University. They are currently attending graduate courses through the Harvard University – Extension School in Government and Public Policy. Their interests include the intersection of research and public policy, advocating for Latinx voices in higher education, and the power of the written word. Krizia’s presently working on publishing their chapbook and an art series titled Black Lives Matter: Portraits of Protests.
